For accommodations away from the glitz and noise of the casinos, head to Virginia City, a charming community just 23 miles southeast of Reno. Here you'll find Edith Palmer's Country Inn, nestled between Sugar Loaf and Sunset Mountain. The Victorian Inn was built in the 1860s and much of the unique character of the era has been preserved.
