Edith Palmer's Country Inn

For accommodations away from the glitz and noise of the casinos, head to Virginia City, a charming community just 23 miles southeast of Reno. Here you'll find Edith Palmer's Country Inn, nestled between Sugar Loaf and Sunset Mountain. For the outdoor enthusiast, this is a tranquil setting with canyons and an abundance of nature just steps from the door. The Victorian Inn was built in the 1860s and much of the unique character of the era has been preserved. There are eight comfortably furnished guest rooms and a family suite located in three guest houses. There's even a suite named after Marilyn Monroe, who stayed at the Inn while filming "The Misfits," nearby. Rooms offer private baths. Some suites offer kitchenettes. Pets are not allowed.
