Grandma's Kitchen

Grandma's Kitchen features American comfort food, including fried chicken and meatloaf with mashed potatoes. As of 2009, their prices are very reasonable with the average cost being approximately U.S.$15 per person. Grandma's Kitchen has three branches in Beijing.

T.G.I. Friday's

T.G.I. Friday's has four locations in Beijing and serves the same signature menu as found in the United States: sandwiches, salads, seafood, chicken and ribs, along with desserts and sides such as baked potato, fried mushrooms and slaw. There is a wide variety of mixed drinks. As of 2009, rices average U.Sl$15 to $20 per person. T.G.I. Friday's is open from 10 a.m. to midnight daily.

Steak 'n Eggs

This popular 24-hour diner brings its traditional menu to China. The menu features items such as corned beef hash, steak and eggs, hamburgers and fries and hot dogs. Their two branches in Beijing serve breakfast all day, and their pancakes are proving particularly popular. As of 2009, prices range from U.S.$5 to $10 per person.

Side dishes include potatoes, baked, smashed and fried, as well as salads and in-season vegetables. Beer and mixed drinks are available as well as a wide selection of desserts. As of 2009, the price range is U.S.$15 to $30 per person. Hard Rock Café is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.

If you are seeking a more gourmet and upscale American restaurant, the Courtyard restaurant in Beijing is the place to go. The atmosphere is elegant and romantic. The restaurant features a cigar bar and a fine wine bar. Some of the most notable dishes include steak, salmon and goose liver sauce. As of 2009, the average cost per person for dinner is U.S.$58.
