Top Caribbean Airlines
The Caribbean is a tropical paradise comprising more than 5,000 islands, reefs and cays that draw millions of tourists every year. Islands in the Caribbean range from relatively flat and non-volcanic ones, like Barbados, St. Croix, the Caymans, Antigua and the Bahamas, to more mountainous locations like Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Grenada. No matter where you are traveling, you can choose from a number of quality airlines dedicated to getting you to your paradise.

Caribbean Airlines

The aptly named Caribbean Airlines has international departure gates out of Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, New York, Toronto and London, flying into airports in Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Antigua, Barbados, Suriname, Guyana, St. Maarten and Caracas. Flying as many as 80 flights per day with an average on-time departure rate of over 90 percent, this airline has proven to be one of the most popular serving the islands.

Air Aruba

Air Aruba is known for excelling in the comfort of its air travelers, with roomy, relaxing seats, an extra-friendly staff and complimentary cocktails. Established as the national carrier of Aruba in 1986, the fleet of McDonnell Douglas MD-83 and DC-9 planes flies direct to Aruba, and then on to Bonaire and Curaçao. Flights depart from Tampa, Miami, Baltimore, Newark, Bogota, Sao Paulo, Caracas and Medellin.

Cape Air

This high-end, luxury fleet of Cessna 402s allows travelers to select their own departure and arrival times, and offers low group fares, making it ideal for businesses and wedding parties. Flights depart from New York and various New England states, flying into Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Tortola. Partner airlines include Continental and JetBlue, which can help connect travelers from other cities, and hotel partners include the Secret Harbour Beach Resort in St. Thomas and the Doubletree Grand Key Resort in Key West.

BahamasAir

The national carrier of the Bahamas was formed after the discontinuation of flights to the region by British Airways in 1970 and Pan American Airlines in 1973, both a result of the fuel crisis. The airline is wholly owned by the Bahamian government and is the leading air transport in and out of Nassau. The fleet is primarily composed of Boeing 748s, with flights departing from cities all over the U.S., including most major Florida airports like Miami, Orlando, West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale.

Delta Airlines

For those who are more comfortable using a big-name airline for their Caribbean travel, Delta offers flights from nearly all major U.S. cities, ensuring greater convenience for air travelers. Delta destinations include Aruba, Barbados, The Netherland Antilles, Cabo San Lucas, Grand Cayman Island, Montego Bay, Nassau, Puerto Plata and the Dominican Republic. Special deals on vacation packages are often available, so travelers should inquire before booking, or check www.delta.com for details.
