The Isle of Capri is a casino and hotel near the Mississippi River. The approximately 17,000-square-foot casino has over 600 slots and video poker machines ranging from a penny to $10. A free shuttle transports you to the casino and back. You can earn points for frequent visits to the casino for free accommodations and dining. The casino promotes monthly events and tournaments.

Grand Soleil Casino Resort

The Grand Soleil opened in 2008 and is a casino and resort featuring a contemporary full-service hotel. It is located on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi. Memberships are available in the casino's "Player's Club" which gives you cash back, free play, complimentary rooms and dining, and preferred seating for entertainment. The hotel has a fine dining restaurant, Vue, on-site which offers Southern, Cajun and Creole cuisine. The hotel and casino offers packages for guests, including a golf package.

Vicksburg Casinos

Natchez currently has only two casinos, however, just a short drive up Highway 61 in Mississippi leads you to another historical city on the Mississippi River, Vicksburg, which is known for its National Military Park. Vicksburg has five casinos--Ameristar, Horizon, Diamond Jacks, Rainbow and Riverwalk. Each of the casinos are on the shore of the Mississippi and are combined with a hotel. You can also drive further south into Louisiana where casinos are aplenty.
