Budget Hotels in Pattaya

Budget Hotels in Pattaya
Just a two-hour bus ride from Bangkok, Pattaya is a popular beach destination for foreigners and locals alike. Pattaya's beach scene is known for its hedonism, but there is plenty more to do than party and sun tan. For divers, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the offshore reefs and shipwrecks. Visit Pattaya Elephant Village, go on an elephant trek, ramble through the Sanctuary of Truth temple or stroll through Pattaya's parks and gardens. In Pattaya, there are plenty of budget hotel options for the frugal-minded traveler.

Sawasdee Court Hotel

This hotel's colonial style architecture and modern decor make it a charming budget option. Rooms are decorated in bold, bright, solid colors with touches of traditional Thai artistry. There are three types of rooms: double with fan, standard double and superior double. Superior double rooms have beautiful canopies draped over the beds. Sawasdee Court Hotel offers bed & breakfast deals, a bar, on-site restaurant, satellite TV and public Internet access. The 24-hour reception ensures that you can come and go at any time. In 2009, rooms could be booked via STA Travel (ibs.statravelgroup.com) for $25 per night, but the hotel's website offers early bird promotions and discounts of up to 40 percent off.
