Hookah Bars in Portland
Hookah is a true leisure activity, allowing for quick and lucid intoxication. While Portland isn't a mecca for hookah, there are a handful of hookah bars that have made their mark on the rainy city. If you like exotics teas, mud-thick coffee and the sweet stench of Pabst Blue Ribbon mingling with your hookah, then Portland is your city to smoke in.

The Sultan Cafe

In addition to selling every hookah flavor under the sun, Northwest Portland's Sultan Cafe also offers this delicious bonus: Turkish coffee. The Sultan Cafe has free Wi-Fi and is open till 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Pied Cow Coffeehouse

Nothing about the Pied Cow Coffeehouse suggests there might be hookah inside: located in the quaint Belmont neighborhood in southeast Portland, the Pied Cow is situated in a prim Victorian house with a flowering garden. Don't be fooled by appearances, the Pied Cow Coffeehouse sells a variety of hookah flavors, which you can enjoy with loose-leaf tea and a plate of dates and goat cheese.
