Co. (pronounced Company), is a place where baker Jim Lahey has reinvented the pizza. Baked in a 700 degree wood burning stove, the pizza is delivered hot to your table in the 54-seat dining room. No reservations accepted and expect lines during peak dining hours.

Borgo Antico

Borgo Antico focuses on revisited Italian cuisine prepared by Chef Ivan Beacco, who prepares his dishes with fresh ingredients. The restaurant offer menus for a snack at the bar and for brunch, lunch, dinner and special occasions as well as carrying an extensive selection of fine Italian wines. It can host private parties for 20 to 70 guests and staffers will be glad to make all the arrangements, including RSVPs and procuring live musicians. The restaurant also offers home catering for cocktail parties, buffets and sit-down dinners.

Babbo

Named the best new restaurant of 1998 by the James Beard Foundation, Babbo, owned by chef Mario Batalli and his partner Joe Bastianich, offers Italian dining at its best with everything from antipasto to desserts. A special menu offering allows customers to choose one of their two Tasting Menus. Try either a pasta sampler with selections of pasta dishes, such as Black Tagliatelle, or the traditional menu with selections such as Duck Bresaola or Pork Tenderloin. Desserts are included with both selections. You can also order a variety of main dishes, including shrimp, fish, steak, chicken and lamb as well as a varied menu of seasonal vegetables. The restaurant has a full bar. Reservations are recommended any time. Dress code is dressy, casual. Jacket and tie are not necessary.

Elio's

Elio's, owned and operated by Elio Guaitolini, specializes in northern Italian cuisine. The menu features a full line of pastas as well as numerous daily specials, including fish, chicken, steak, liver, veal and calamari main courses, fresh seasonal vegetables and salads and a stupendous antipasto platter. The bar features a selection of fine wines as well as beer and mixed drinks. The restaurant offers dining at the bar, in the sidewalk cafe or the main dining room. Reservations are recommended, especially during the peak dinner hours.
