Casco Viejo, a UNESCO world heritage site, is the historic center of Panama City and is a short cab ride from central Panama City. With fantastic architecture, food and history, Casco Viejo can be a fun place to visit for an urban adventure. The historic center is a mix of modern gentrification and French and Spanish architecture. Casco Viejo is a neighborhood in transition. The Canal House is a luxury boutique hotel operated out of a converted mansion. Three apartment-style rooms available, and each has a unique floor plan and furnishings. Hospedaje Casco Viejo is located on the southern side of the San Felipe Peninsula. The hostel is a cheap, backpacker hangout. Don't expect all the services or amenities of luxury hotels, but you can expect friendly service and Wi-Fi access. Airport pickup can be arranged for a fee.
