Princeville, Kauai Hotels

Princeville, Kauai Hotels
Princeville is a town on the north shore of the island of Kauai. According to the Kauai County vacation information website, Princeville has three beaches, which are good for snorkeling. Other popular outdoor activities in Princeville are hiking, sailing and scuba diving. There are also resorts that offer other activities, including golfing and fine dining.

The St. Regis Princeville Resort

This luxurious resort offers travelers plenty of activities. It is home to the Princeville Golf Club, which includes two 18-hole courses. The hotel also offers a 5,000 square foot swimming pool and tropical gardens, which are great for walking and hiking.
There is a full spa with a 24-hour exercise facility. Food in the hotel restaurant is Hawaiian-inspired.

Hanalei Colony Resort

The Hanalei Colony Resort offers both typical onsite resort activities, such as a pool and barbeque areas, and outdoor activities, such as whale watching in the winter, snorkeling at the beach and hiking along the coast. It is a good place to bring kids because the hotel offers activities for children. There is a day spa, nearby shopping, nearby dining, and the condominiums come with kitchens. It is also the only hotel on the north shore beachfront.

Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas

The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas are 200 feet from the ocean. At the hotel, available activities include an exercise room, barbecues, a golf course, a game room, a pool, a poolside bar and a sauna. Nearby activities include snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, whale watching, biking, hiking and horseback riding. It is close enough to the beach that hotel guests can easily do lots of beach activities.

Castle at Princeville

This hotel is especially good for families because it consists of condominiums with kitchens and laundry facilities. Although it can often cost more to rent a condo than a hotel room, these condos are money savers because families can cook their own meals and do their own laundry. It has three different properties onsite, that offer different activities. Pali Ke Kua offers great views, a private path to the beach, a pool and barbeque facilities. Pu'u Poa offers a cliffside pool, tennis courts and is near a golf course. Hale Moi Cottages have great mountain and waterfall views and offer barbeque and picnic areas, free daily newspapers and free parking. All three properties are relatively near the beach and near good hiking.
