Corbin, Kentucky, is a town that is located on the border of three neighboring counties. According to the Corbin Convention and Tourism Commission, the population within this tri-county area is approximately 130,000. Corbin boasts several attractions such as the Cumberland Falls State Park and the Harland Sanders Museum and Cafe. Cumberland Falls is nicknamed the "Niagra Falls of the South," and Harland Sanders found fame as "Colonel Sanders" of the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise. Hiking, fishing, rafting and horseback riding are popular activities in this area. Corbin has a variety of hotels that offer pleasant accommodations for travelers.

Dupont Lodge and Cottages

The Dupont Lodge is located within the Cumberland Falls State Park. The lodge offers 51 rooms, which were renovated in 2006. The observation overlooks the scenic Cumberland River. The lodge does not allow pets but does have high-speed wireless Internet access. The lodge rooms have one king bed or two queen beds. You can opt for a larger accommodation in one of the Woodland Rooms which are connected to the lodge. These rooms offer more privacy and have either one queen bed or two double beds. The Woodland Rooms are a little more expensive than the lodge rooms. The cottages have two bedrooms with either two double beds, three queens or four queens. These are the most expensive accommodations at this complex, but they offer the most space and privacy. The cottages also have a kitchen that is stocked with cookware and appliances, as well as bedrooms with linens supplied, and most have fireplaces.

Standard Mid-range

The majority of the hotels in Corbin, Kentucky, are standard, mid-range hotels. These hotels include the Baymont Inn and Suites, the Fairfield Inn, Comfort Suites, Country Inn and Suites and the Holiday Inn Express. One of the hotels in this category that received better ratings according to Hotel-Guides website is the Hampton Inn. This hotel has three floors, 67 rooms (some have whirlpool tubs), and is located on 125 Adams Road, which is right off of I-75. The Hampton Inn offers a free continental breakfast, high-speed Internet access, a fitness center and outdoor pool.

Pet Friendly

The Days Inn of Corbin Kentucky offers a place for you and your pet to stay, but you'll have to add a small fee per night for each pet. The hotel, which is located on 1860 Cumberland Falls Road offers standard fare such as an outdoor pool with kids' pool, free continental breakfast, newspaper and cable television. The Days Inn doesn't offer any fancy accommodations, but it is very inexpensive. If you're looking for value and accessibility to the Interstate (I-75) without the frills, the Days Inn could be an efficient option. There are several other cheap, pet-friendly hotels/motels in Corbin, including the Best Western, Super 8 and the Knights Inn.
