Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours From Henderson, Nevada

Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours From Henderson, Nevada
Helicopter rides from Henderson or nearby Las Vegas (just 10 miles away) offer airborne adventure away from the crowds and bright lights of Las Vegas. Since Grand Canyon National Park does not allow helicopters to fly over the park itself, most helicopter rides take you to the west rim of the park, also known as Grand Canyon West, owned and operated by the Hualapai Tribe. From there, some of the tours take you into the park so you can hike and explore before returning to Las Vegas. One of the tours offers the ultimate outdoor adventure--whitewater rafting, hiking, exploring, and a helicopter ride.

Maverick Helicopters

Maverick Helicopters offers a tour called the Canyon Dream that starts with a 40-minute flight aboard a small airplane to Grand Canyon South Rim. You then transfer to a helicopter for a 25-minute ride over west edges of the park. Maverick next drives you into the national park for several hours of touring and hiking before returning you to Las Vegas via plane. The seven-hour trip also includes a gourmet lunch box.

Las Vegas Grand Canyon Tours

For a combination of activities, this tour uses a helicopter to take you down to the Colorado River where you board a pontoon boat ride to view part of the river's features. A helicopter takes you back to the Canyon Rim where you hop on a bus to Eagle Point. From there, you get three-and-a-half hours to hike around the Hualapai village. Take the optional skywalk glass walkway bridge to look over the canyon floor from 4,000 feet up, and enjoy lunch at the Hualapai Buffet.
