Hotels in Surrey, Canada
The western British Columbia city of Surrey is rapidly morphing from a Vancouver suburb into one of Canada's major metropolises in its own right. Surrey, however, has protected its natural environment with more than 6,000 acres of protected rivers, forests and public gardens spread over 400 parks. River and coastal kayaking, canoeing and 130 miles of biking and hiking routes offer plenty of outdoor action for guests of Surrey's many fine hotels.

Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel

Just half an hour from the beach at White Rock and many of Vancouver's other natural attractions, the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel has 279 updated rooms looking out on the city, the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the Fraser River. The rooms range from standard to Club Guest rooms and Penthouse suites. Some amenities require an additional fee.

All rooms have coffee makers, hair dryers, irons with ironing boards, cable flat-screen TVs, speaker phones, air conditioning and mahogany accents with leather wing-back chairs. Guests have use of the hotel's fitness center with a heated outdoor pool, two weight stations and cardio equipment. Runners can walk to the Guildford Recreation Center with its indoor track and lap pool.

Exercise in the fresh air is only five miles away at Bear Creek Park Gardens, with its three-mile trail loop, running track and swimming pool. Vancouver's Stanley Park, within 16 miles of the hotel, has public tennis courts and a network of beach, forest and lakeside trails to satisfy the most avid hikers and bikers.
