List of Airports in Colorado

List of Airports in Colorado
There are few states that offer as much to see and do in the great outdoors as Colorado. From hiking and whitewater rafting in the summer months to Colorado's incredible ski culture, the state is a nature lover's dream. While Colorado is not serviced by as many airports as more populated states, there are a few that can get you right into the heart of the action.

Denver International Airport

Serviced by most major carriers and offering daily flights to and from 130 cities, Denver International is Colorado's biggest and busiest airport. It is also the closest major airport to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, and less than 100 miles from the popular Keystone ski resort. It will take approximately an hour and a half to drive to any of these locations from Denver International in good conditions.

Features on-site at Denver International Airport include an interfaith chapel, storage lockers and several restaurants and shops, many of which sell outdoor apparel.

Fort Collins-Loveland Airport

Situated right at the border of Rocky Mountain National Park, the Fort Collins-Loveland Airport is the nearest airport to the park. The Fort Collins-Loveland Airport is a small airport though, serviced by only one commercial airline, Allegiant Air. Flights are offered to and from other cities in Colorado and Las Vegas.

Fort Collins-Loveland Airport also provides services for personal aircraft, so if you own your own airplane you can take off and land from Fort Collins-Loveland and store your plane on-site.

Grand Junction Regional Airport

In the southwestern part of Colorado, Grand Junction Regional Airport is located less than 30 miles from Colorado's National Monument, which features hiking, mountain biking, park-ranger-led activities and camping.

The airport is serviced by several major airlines, including United, Delta and US Airways. Direct flights are offered to Denver, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Incoming flights to Grand Junction Regional Airport generally require a stopover in one of these three major cities.

Services and amenities at Grand Junction Regional Airport are limited. Food options consist of only one main food service area and one vending area.
