Silver Moon Inn

A AAA triple diamond property, the Silver Moon Inn is on the banks of the Fall River just a short walk from the village of Estes Park. Rocky Mountain National Park is two miles away. All rooms are air conditioned and have microwaves, refrigerators and VCRs. Some have fireplaces and private decks. Outside, there are two heated pools, two spas and a children's play area. Pets are allowed only in pet rooms. Just one pet is permitted per room.

Timber Creek Chalets

The cabins at Timber Creek Chalets are tucked into 11 forested acres two miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. There's a heated outdoor pool, and units are available with personal hot tubs and wood-burning fireplaces. All have kitchens or kitchenettes, decks, patios with gas grills, cable TV with HBO and DVD players. Cabins and chalets sleep from two to 10 people and are nonsmoking. Cats left alone in units must be in carriers. You'll need to provide your own couch and chair covers if your cats like to sleep on furniture. There is a pet fee, and no more than two pets are allowed per unit.

Discovery Lodge

Discovery Lodge is less than a mile from downtown Estes Park and three miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. Lake Estes is within walking distance, and a nine-hole executive golf course is adjacent to the property. Accommodations range from motel rooms to two-bedroom suites, a luxury log cabin and an 1,800-square-foot vacation home. Most motel rooms have balconies, and all have cable TV and refrigerators and are nonsmoking. There is a nonrefundable pet fee.

Machin's Cottages in the Pines

Machin's Cottages in the Pines is in Rocky Mountain National Park, about 10 minutes from Estes Park. The one-, two- and three-bedroom cottages all have fireplaces, cable TV, large windows, porches and patios, and picnic areas with grills. Machin's Cottages in the Pines is open from late May through September. Small animals are welcome. Large dogs are not allowed.

Mountain Shadows Resort
