Casa Nova Brazilian Barbeque
Casa Nova, like most Newark Brazilian restaurants, is located in the Ironbound region of the city. The Ironbound is a large predominantly Portuguese working-class community on the Passaic River, according to the Ironbound Business Improvement District website. While the restaurant specializes in a rodizio buffet, where servers bring selections of food to the table, other offerings are available such as their fried shrimp and pasta dishes.

Boi Na Brasa Churrascaria
On the corner of Adams and Downing Streets in the Ironbound, Boi Na Brasa is popular with both tourists and residents, partially due to its location just outside of the downtown business district. In addition to the standard meat and side food choices available for the traditional Brazilian rodizio, Boi Na Brasa also serves chicken dishes such as Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Stroganoff as well as a salad bar. Expect a lively crowd of locals, especially on the weekends.

Brasilia Grill
Weekends are busy at this Ironbound Brazilian rodizio. While reservations are accepted, expect large crowds during the live dancing and music events that are scheduled periodically. The buffet includes several beef cuts, pork items and chicken dishes. Non-meat menu items are limited to a few seafood dishes and a salad bar. The palate-cleansing warm pineapple sprinkled with cinnamon rivals the dessert cart in terms of popularity.
