Avon is a Victorian community, offering excellent water activities and accommodations in the area. Visitors can swim, surf, boat and scuba dive in the Atlantic Ocean; fish in the Sylvan Lake; and stroll or bike along the Shark River bank. There are numerous accommodations in the surrounding area.

Cashelmara Inn

The tranquil waters of the Sylvan Lake and the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean surround the beautiful Cashelmara Inn. Enjoy bathing, yachting, playing tennis and cycling within or near Cashelmara.
All country-style rooms include antique furnishings with air conditioning, cable TV, clock radio, private bath, wireless Internet service, beach badges and towels, free admission to Mulligan's Grand Victorian Theater, a full country breakfast and free parking. Larger rooms have a whirlpool bathtub, mini-fridge, gas log fireplace, private entrance and panoramic ocean views.
The hotel does not allow pets. Cashelmara enforces a no smoking policy. Guests can check in from 2 to 9 p.m. and check out on or before 11 a.m.

Atlantic View Inn

Atlantic View Inn charms guests with its antique furniture, traditional wicker and hand-painted pieces. Guestrooms have private baths, cable TV, air conditioning, phones and refrigerators. The room rate includes a full breakfast and afternoon snacks. The hotel provides beach chairs, umbrellas, and private parking areas for guests. All registered guests receive beach passes and beach towels, and most rooms have a spectacular view of the ocean.
All rooms have a two-person occupancy, and some rooms are large enough to house an extra person for an additional $40. Atlantic View Inn enforces no smoking and no pet policies. Check in is between 2 and 8 p.m., while check out is by 11 a.m.

Avon Manor

Avon Manor Inn is conveniently located in the heart of New Jersey, two miles north of Spring Lake and a block from the boardwalk and beaches.Guests have access to the Avon private town pool and indoor pool spa, and they also receive free passes to New Jersey's Health Club and Spa. The property has three bedroom cottages, seven guestrooms and two suites. All accommodations have private baths, air conditioning, cable TV, and complimentary amenities such as use of bicycles and tandem bikes, golf lessons, beach badges, chairs and towels, wireless Internet, a full menu breakfast and all-day tea.
The hotel prohibits smoking within the establishment but permits tobacco on porches and verandas. The hotel also prohibits pets except in cottages. Check in is after 2 p.m. and check out is 11 a.m.
