Located in the Queen's Quarter and owned by former world travelers is the Vagabond hostel. This hostel is located just minutes from the center of Belfast where tourists can find places to shop, eat, and visit. The Vagabond features a community living space with TV, a beer garden, showers, and a catering kitchen where travelers can prepare their own meals or cook on the outdoor barbecue. Breakfast, tea and coffee are available along with linens and blankets. The facility provides bikes and towels for rent. It also has wireless Internet and the rooms have storage under the beds for luggage.

Arnie's Backpackers

Arnie's Backpackers is a privately-owned small hostel in Queen's Quarter. Guests stay in a 22-bed Victorian Town House, where there is no curfew or "lock out." Guests are offered free tea or coffee on arrival and are greeted by two Jack Russell Terriers. There is a kitchen, where travelers can cook their own food, and a small garden for relaxing.

Paddy's Palace

Also located in the University District is Paddy's Palace. Guests have the choice of private suites or dorm-style rooms with "sleeptite" mattresses. There is an extra large shared kitchen and a dining room with garden view. Guest can join the others in the Georgian drawing room for singing, and camaraderie with people from all over the world. Amenities include free breakfast, parking, Internet access, laundry facilities, linens and towels. There is no lock out time or curfew, and it is a non-smoking hostel.

Belfast International Youth Hostel

Belfast International Youth Hostel is located in University Quarter. There are suites and regular guest rooms, and room for single travelers, as well as groups with eight or more. Meals come from The Causeway Café nearby. There is a self-catering kitchen for guests who want to make their own meals, free luggage storage, bed linens, laundry facilities, free parking, bike storage and no lock out time.
