Hotels in Montelimar, Nicaragua
Located on the western shores of Nicaragua, Montelimar Beach is an exotic destination complete with tropic vegetation and pristine white-sand beaches. Adjacent to the towns of Masachapa, San Rafael del Sur and Crucero, Montelimar is another example of Nicaragua's return to tourism prominence. The warm equatorial sun may try to convince you to sit in a lounge chair and enjoy the beaches, but that would mean missing so much of what the area has to offer. Just minutes from Montelimar is the Montibelli Reserve. The reserve offers great vistas for bird and animal watchers with numerous animal species abundant for viewing, including monkeys, snakes and butterflies. Hiking in Montibeli is available for all skill levels. Within the city of Managua, adventurers can find upward of four lagoons. The largest, the Tiscapa Lagoon, is of volcanic origin. The truly adventuresome can enjoy riding down zip-lines just above the canopy all the way to the shores of the lagoon. With Motelimar beach being quiet and secluded, visitors looking for more flair and interaction may want to visit the beach of Pochomil, which is a bit more developed, offering restaurants and shops. Riding enthusiasts can rent a horse from local vendors and journey up and down the beaches for a unique and memorable experience.
