Portofino
Riding the trails all day is sure to put you in the mood for a filling dinner. Portofino can provide you with not only a nourishing meal but also a lovely view of the Detroit River, as the restaurant is situated directly on the docks, complete with its own Portofino Friendship yacht that you can set sail on before or after dinner. Known for its Italian fare, Portofino has a menu complete with a variety of steaks, veal specialties and its famous sautéed lake perch. Self-described as upscale dining since the 1970s, Portofino offers an extensive wine list in addition to its dinner menu. Open for both lunch and dinner, the dress code is business casual and there is live entertainment on the weekends, as well as an outside patio that opens depending on the weather. Prices won't break the bank too much, as two people could easily dine for $50, even after ordering appetizer and dessert. After a couple of glasses of wine each, however, you can expect to pay closer to $80 or $100. After dinner, be sure to check out The Comedy Room located in the restaurant.

Dolce Vita Italian Ristorante
The Cataldo family has owned and operated Dolce Vita Italian Ristorante in Riverview, Mich.-- just a short jaunt from Wyandotte--since 2006, 10 years after the original owners opened it. Russ Cataldo was quoted in The News Herald as saying, "The food and atmosphere has always been what kept us coming back for more, so when we took ownership, we didn't want to change a thing." Dolce Vita, which literally means "Sweet Life" in Italian, is a downriver family favorite among Italian cuisine lovers. With a humble ambiance and family-friendly prices, cyclists can feel comfortable sauntering in after a tough ride and taking advantage of one of Dolce Vita's express lunches for $6.99 or a regular dinner, complete with a homemade breadbasket, wine and award-winning tiramisu.

Moro's Dining
If you're looking for a night out after riding the trails around Wyandotte, you may want to try Moro's Dining in downtown Allen Park. Moro's is very small and does not accept reservations, but once you sit down, the service is extremely attentive. In addition to the Italian and steak dishes on the menu, it has several "tableside specialties" such as Veal Olympic, Beef Maison or the Macedonian, which is prepared with a combination of peaches, cherries and bananas and flambéed with brandy, rum, orange curacao and Galliano, served over ice cream. Once featured on PBS's "Dining Out" with Jonathon Swift, Moro's is dimly lit; the perfect ambiance for a relaxing dinner with your loved one, although it also hosts private parties. Most of the dinners range from $20 to $30 each, though some of them are pricier or less expensive. While there is no dress code, most of the clientele will be dressed in a business casual manner. After dinner, you might want to walk next door to the $1 movie theater or the nearby coffee shop.
