California's largest state park is a nature-lover's paradise, featuring mile upon endless mile of hiking trails through vast, near untrammeled territory. While there are plenty of campgrounds in the vicinity, if you're looking for somewhere more comfortable to spend the night, there are plenty of hotels in and around Anza-Borrego to make your stay an enjoyable one.

The Palms at Indian Head

This bed and breakfast-style hotel is the only one of its kind you'll find in the Anza-Borrego area. Formerly a resort for Hollywood movie stars, the current owners
took over the Palms in 1993 and renovated it, being careful to respect the original design of the place, and thus giving it a chic retro look, combined with a luxury southwestern air. The 12 rooms on the premises each come equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning, color TV, and coffee making facilities. Breakfast is included with the price, and you can take dinner or restaurant in the on-site restaurant, the Krazy Coyote. The swimming pool is a great place to freshen up after a long, hot day of exploring the Anza-Borrego National Park.
