State and national parks, recreation areas, six golf courses and even a gun club are all either in or near Mesquite, Nevada. For those who prefer indoor activities, they can visit the Mesquite Fine Arts Center and Gallery and the Virgin Valley Museum. If you don't want to leave your pets behind on your trip to Mesquite, there are several hotels in the area that will let them bunk with you.

Best Western Mesquite Inn

The Best Western, a few minutes off Interstate 15, has rooms, all of which include a coffeemaker, cable television with HBO, hair dryer, AM/FM alarm clock and free Internet service. Guests are treated to free breakfast each morning, and have use of the on-site pool and hot tub, as well as limited business services. Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam and the Valley of Fire are all within an hour's drive, and golf courses, museums and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway are not far away, either. This is a pet-friendly property, with a fee of $15 per day for pets, and a weight limit of 50 pounds, as of December 2009.

The Virgin River Hotel, Casino & Bingo

This hotel offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms in its seven buildings, which are situated around the casino and restaurants. Each room comes with two queen-size beds, television, hair dryer and Internet access (for a daily fee). Dining options include three buffets, the Chuckwagon Restaurant and the Strike & Spare Snack Bar; the hotel also boasts the largest Starbucks in the town. The hotel also offers a casino, plus a race and sports book, Keno lounge and bingo parlor. There is a $50 refundable deposit for pets, along with a $10-per-day fee; there are no weight restrictions, as of December 2009.

Falcon Ridge Hotel

Guests have their choice of 130 guestrooms or suites, all with a microwave, mini refrigerator, free high-speed Internet access, coffee service, iron and ironing board and 27-inch cable television, with more than 60 channels. All rooms have granite counters and tub/shower combinations, with spray-jet showerheads. A complimentary hot breakfast is served daily and on-site meeting rooms are available. Nearby, guests will find a recreation center, gun club/shooting range, spas, snow skiing and softball fields. Pets of all sizes are welcome for a fee of $15 per day, as of December 2009.
