Garden City, Utah, is located in the northeastern corner of Utah on Bear Lake, which is nicknamed the "Caribbean of the Rockies." The lake also borders the southeastern corner of Idaho. Summer activities include swimming, boating, hiking, horseback riding, golf, cave exploration and fishing. Winter enthusiasts enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country and downhill skiing and ice fishing. Available accommodations include condominiums that sleep 4 to 22 guests and cabins with 3 to 7 bedrooms. Pets are not allowed in units. Prices as of 2009 range from $80 per night to $599 per night, depending on the season. Condo units offer jetted tubs, kitchens and lake views. Cabins offer laundry facilities, gas BBQ grills and flat-screen televisions.

Blue Water Resort

Blue Water Resort is located 15 minutes from Beaver Mountain Ski Resort and features condominium home rentals, the Lake Lodge Hotel and Yellow Beach House. The condominium home offers two bedrooms upstairs with a sofa sleeper in the living area downstairs. A TV/VCR and supply of kitchen utensils are provided; rates as of 2009 start at $699 for a half-week. At the hotel, rooms feature jetted tubs and showers, gas fireplaces, kitchens, cable TV and lake views. The Yellow Beach House is located on a private beach with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen and wraparound deck. As of 2009, summer rates for the beach house are $899 for a half-week.

Ideal Beach Resort

Ideal Beach Resort offers motel room and condominium rentals with direct beach access and watercraft rentals. Two areas of the resort have outdoor pools: one also has a kids' pool, hot tub and sauna, and the other has a hot tub, sauna and fitness area. A playground, tennis courts, picnic and BBQ areas and 18-hole miniature golf course are other amenities available to guests. Various floor plans are available for guests in any-sized group, with prices ranging from $97 per night for a motel room to $1,149 for a half-week for the largest family suite, which sleeps 20. Prices are as of 2009.
