Pawling is a small town in New York near the Connecticut border. It is home to Pawling Nature Reserve, where visitors can hike along trails while enjoying the area's natural scenery. Cacciatore's Trattoria and Pizzeria is located a few minutes from Interstate 84, offering guests easy access to Carmel Lake, Wonder Lake and the Pawling Nature Reserve. Cacciatore's Trattoria and Pizzeria offers several signature dishes, such as chicken cacciatore and bucatini boscaiola, a mixture of pancetta, sage and mushrooms in a brandy cream sauce. Other entrees include chicken piccata, veal parmigiana and eggplant rollantini. This restaurant serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are available but not necessary.

Cutillo's Restaurant

Cutillo's Restaurant is a short drive from Carmel Lake. It is also near several area golf courses, such as Dutcher Golf Course and Quaker Country Club. Guests can choose from a variety of pasta entrees, such as gnocchi, penne vodka, baked penne parmigiana and lasagna. The menu also offers New York strip and Porterhouse steaks. There are a few vegetarian options such as penne with broccoli and eggplant parmigiana. Cutillo's Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday, and for dinner only on Tuesdays. This restaurant is closed on Mondays. Reservations are recommended.
