Plattduetsche Park Restaurant is more than just a restaurant; it is a German-American center that has been in existence since 1883. The restaurant itself has been around since 1939. Appetizers include Brie Cheese with Almond Crust and Lingonberries, Smoked Salmon with Honey Dill Sauce and Baked Littleneck Clams. Main course items include German favorites such as Wiener Schnitzel topped with a Mushroom Cream Sauce, Roast Loin of Pork with Mashed Potatoes and Sauerkraut, or Slow Braised Beef Rolls with Red Cabbage and Potato Dumplings. The beer garden is open all summer beginning the first weekend in June and offers guests a selection of imported German beers and live music every Friday night.

This family-owned and -operated German restaurant opened its doors in 1972. Over 30 years later, it is still offering German food to the Glendale area and is now operated by the next generation of the family. To get you started at Zum Stammtische, you might want to select Goulash Soup or Egg ala Russian. If you wish to choose a Bavarian specialty as a main course, you can order from a selection of grilled sausages including Bratwurst, Knockwurst and Krainerwurst. Specialties of the house include Veal Cordon Bleu, Wienerschnitzel and Sauerbraten. The wine and beer list is extensive.
