One & Only Pamilla Resort
This five-star has been named the number one resort in Mexico for the past three years by Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards. The Palmilla resort opened in 1956 with just 15 rooms and immediately became a hideaway for the rich and famous like Bing Crosby, John Wayne and President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Recently, it was given an $80 million face-lift by One & Only Resorts, now the operator. Today, the grounds consist of 250 beautiful pristine acres. Esperanza, An Auberge Resort
Sitting right at the top of a cliff, this hotel has just 57 rooms, all with oversize tubs, handcrafted furniture and a view of the Sea of Cortez.
