Ogunquit, Maine Hotels
With a population of just over one thousand people, Ogunquit, Maine, is a tiny town perched on the windswept cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean. Their motto is a "Beautiful Place By the Sea" and one look at the quaint, old-world town will tell you why. Long known as a summer resort town for those interested in hiking and mountain biking, Ogunquit has been working to change its image to a "Four Season" destination, luring winter travelers with figure skating and the Christmas by the Sea celebration.

The Dunes on the Waterfront

The family owned and operated Dunes on the Waterfront has been a staple of the Ogunquit area since 1936. A multiple "Editor's Choice" winner for the Yankee Travel Guide, the resort is comprised of the main building and a series of small clapboard cottages sprinkled across the banks of the tidal river.

The cottages boast the homey feel of a wood-burning fireplace, full kitchens, and screened-in porches where you can sit with a good book and enjoy the waterfront view. The Dunes is within walking distance of local shops and restaurants, and has direct access to fishing and sea kayaking.
