Hotel Villa Real Plaza

Directly across the street from the city's Central Park, the Hotel Villa Real Plaza offers visitors a chance to stay in the middle of the action in Quetzaltenango. Whether you plan to stay for one night or one month, the staff will adjust their reasonable rates accordingly. Rooms come with stunning park views, though the amenities tend to be rather basic (beds, standard furniture, old television sets.) There is also an on-site casino.

Hotel Casa Manen

The Hotel Casa Manen is a quaint bed and breakfast located in the heart of Quetzaltenango, just two blocks away from the largest city park. While the building dates back to the 19th century, it was fully renovated in 1991, when the current owners took over the lease. The spacious rooms are decorated with local handicrafts and come furnished with cable television and private bathrooms. Many of the rooms also have fireplaces. There is a lovely rooftop garden and bar on the premises. Note that there are only nine rooms on the premises, so be sure to book well in advance.
