German Restaurants in Denver, Colorado
Denver is a great place to start your trip into the wilderness of Colorado. The city is conveniently located at the intersection of Interstates 25 and 70, two of Colorado's major highways, allowing easy access in all directions. Head west and you will find yourself in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains with activities such as skiing, hiking, biking, rafting, and climbing. Going south will bring you to Great Sand Dunes National Park and Reserve and the San Juan Mountains for camping, hiking and even skiing on the dunes. If you go North or East you will find plains, rivers or Wyoming peaks. If you prefer to stick around Denver there are many great local hikes, rides, climbs, and water sports to enjoy. Either way, stop by some of the local German restaurants for great food to fill you up.

Cafe Berlin

Cafe Berlin has been serving the Denver community since 1995. Their lunch, dinner and drink menus feature items such as currywurst, weiner schnitzel, sauerbrauten, and bratwurst along with German beers, schnapps and wine. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner during the weekdays and dinner only on the weekend. The prices are reasonable with lunch entrees under $10 and dinner entrees under $20. They are located by the corner of Colfax and 14th Street near Interstate 25. The ambiance is sophisticated and comfortable and they are available for private parties and business meetings on Mondays.

Helga's German Restaurant and Deli

Run by Helga, Herbert and their family, Helga's Deli began in 1989 as a small German restaurant with only four tables and has grown in size since then. Lunch and dinner menus feature all things German from bratwurst, potato pancakes, krautburger, schnitzel, and steak to homemade cheesecakes and tortes. They also have a gift store featuring German music, magazines, imported European chocolates and candies. Located at the Town Center at Aurora, Helga's Deli is near the crossing of Interstates 70 and 225 on the east side of Denver.

Bender's Brat Haus Inc.

An inexpensive Denver restaurant, Bender's Brat Haus offers authentic German cooking and atmosphere. A little bit off the beaten path in Aurora on the east side of Denver, Bender's Brat Haus serves lunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday to Saturday. In addition to brats the menu offers burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, potato salad, sauerkraut and soda or beer to wash it all down. For those on the run Bender's offers take out service as well.
