Bus Tours in Alaska

Bus Tours in Alaska
Alaska is the largest state in the country at more than 570,000 square miles, according to the state's Web site. It is also one of the least populated states with less than a million residents. The state's main attractions are its wildlife, glaciers, mountains and native culture. Tour buses are a good way to see this vast state. There are a few bus lines options for visitors.

Gray Line of Alaska

Operated by the Holland America cruise line, Gray Line of Alaska offers multi-day and single-day trips. Some of the multi-day trips combine motor coach transportation along with rides on railroads. Multi-day trips include overnight stays in hotels. Many of the day and multi-day tours stop at Denali National Park, home to glaciers, mountains and wildlife. Day trips are available in Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali, Fairbanks and the Yukon Territory. A special multi-day tour focuses on the Iditarod, the famed dog sled race in March. Special packages and online deals can be found on the line's website. Prices vary according to season and package. Tours provided exclusively on rail as well as car rental trips are available through Gray Line Alaska. See website for tour desk addresses in various cities/
