Cazenovia, New York is a bucolic small town about 17 miles outside of Syracuse. Built to the side of Cazinovia lake, the town is steeped in charm and history. A popular place to relax and enjoy the summers, Cazenovia has several wonderful restaurants and charming bed and breakfasts. Boating and windsurfing on Cazenovia lake are popular summer past times, as is the annul fireworks show over the lake. Hikers will want to hike the trails of Green Lakes State Park and swim in the brilliant green waters of this glacier-formed landmark. Highland Forest offers camping and horseback riding. Antiquing is a popular pastime in this historic district of the state. The only danger you'll find in Cazenovia is that you won't want to leave. It is the quintessential Central New York small town.

Notleymere Cottage

Notleymere Cottage sits on the shores Cazenovia Lake and offers five beautiful guest rooms. Each room has a private bath and offers a picturesque view of the lake or surrounding hills. A full breakfast is complementary and is often served lakeside in the warm months. The mansion was built in the in the shingle style in 1888 and was the choice of Teddy Roosevelt when he vacationed in Cazenovia. The Teddy Roosevelt Suite bears his name. All the rooms have been recently renovated, with each returned to its original elegance. Two of the suites overlook the lake, and the others share garden views.

The Brae Loch Inn

The Brae Loch is a large B&B that offers 12 rooms, each a display in comfort and class. Temper-Pedic beds add just another dimension to the comforts that await you at the Brae Loch. Each room has a private bath, independent air conditioning and heating, TV and free Wi Fi Internet. Breakfast is on the house in the Brae Loch's award winning restaurant. The Brewster Inn

The Brewster Inn guests can choose from the main house or the recently renovated carriage house. Either way, the accommodations at the Brewster are plush and memorable. All rooms come with a private bathroom TV, AC, phone and Wi Fi internet. Be sure to request one of the four rooms with a fireplace and jacuzzi. Take advantage of the Brewster's seasonal rates with your best bargains coming from November to April. Make reservations for the summer months well in advance as they tend to sell out. There's no need to go out for dinner, as the best meals in Cazenovia are served every night at the Inn's restaurant. After your meal, relax on the terrace bar and enjoy the view of Cazenovia Lake.
