Pray, Montana Hotels

Pray, Montana Hotels
Pray, Montana is a small town nestled in a valley between Yellowstone National Park and Bozeman, Montana. In addition to hiking and skiing (both nearby), you'll find dogsledding, snowmobiling and fishing within a short drive. At the end of a day of dogsledding or skiing, you'll want a comfortable bed to recuperate in. Pray has few hotels, so call ahead to ensure you have a place to stay.

Chico Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa

Chico Hot Springs is Pray's premiere destination. Accommodations here range from rustic cabins to traditional hotel rooms. You can soak in the hot springs from morning till late night--hot springs access is included with your room rate. Day guests can also use the hot springs, but pay an admission fee. Chico is known for its food and drink as much as for its hot springs. In the Dining Room restaurant, you'll find top-tier Montana takes on meat and fish dishes, with much of the produce coming from the resort's garden. Reservations are recommended for the popular Dining Room. The Chico Saloon offers drinks and gambling, as well as live music on weekends. The hotel can arrange dogsled and horseback trips and is a short drive from skiing, mountain biking and whitewater rafting.

Emigrant Creek Cabin

If you prefer to do your own cooking, try the Emigrant Creek Cabin. It's only a mile from Chico Hot Springs, but offers more seclusion and the option to catch your own trout dinner from the creek behind the cabin. The cabin has modern fixtures and indoor plumbing, so you don't need to worry about a midnight trip to the outhouse. You'll also have a phone and satellite TV. With the hot springs so close, you can have dinner at Chico and soak in the hot springs after dinner. Reservations are recommended.

4M Ranch

If you just need a bit more space, head for the 4M Guest Ranch, nine miles from Chico. Choose between bed and breakfast accommodations in the main house or stake out the modern cabin. Both options include free Wi-Fi. The cabin includes a fully-equipped kitchen with basic ingredients and has room for up to 10 people. During the summer, guests are welcome to pick vegetables from the ranch's organic garden and play croquet on the lawn. Aspiring astronomers are also welcome to use the ranch's eight-inch reflector telescope. During the winter, the cabin is only available for a six-month lease. The bed and breakfast accommodation is available for shorter stays year-round.
