Perth, New York Restaurants
Located just north of Amsterdam, New York and located in Fulton County, Perth, New York boasts fishing, hiking, canoeing and mountain biking at the privately-owned Lapland Lake Nordic Vacation Center, which offers day use to the 70-acre lake and nearly 50 miles of trails. There are a number of restaurants in the surrounding area available for visitors looking for a bite to eat.

Union Hall Inn Restaurant

Located in nearby Johnstown, the Union Hall Inn Restaurant is housed in a pre-Revolutionary tavern (circa 1798). Filled with antiques, meals are served in formal style, including white tablecloths, stemware, and fresh flowers. Moreover, the restaurant's dinner menus are broad. The restaurant is known for two of its soups - a French Onion and a (Salmon) seafood chowder - and while the menu changes seasonally, there are always a dozen or so entrees from which to choose. Vegetarian plates available upon request. Reservations suggested. Private dining areas are available, prices are moderate, all major credit cards accepted.

Romana's Italian Kitchen

Traditional Italian cuisine is found at Romana's - pizza, pasta, calzone - plus sandwiches, salads, fried fish and assorted finger foods. This is a family-style, neighborhood restaurant, established in 1974 with fairly modest prices. The restaurants accepts most major credit cards.

Friendly's Ice Cream Shop

Red, vinyl booths and a diner feel is the hallmark of this "ice cream parlor plus cafe," located in Johnstown. This is part of the Friendly's chain of shops, established in 1935, and it's a family-friendly place for hamburgers, tuna melts, chicken singers and, of course, ice cream for the kids. Menu prices are inexpensive and the restaurant takes most major credit cards.
