High Country, North Carolina is in the western part of the state. Its surrounding areas include Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. It is known for its high elevation, just as its name suggests.The terrain and mild temperatures are very attractive to its many visitors as it sets a perfect location for many outdoor activities all year round. There are many lodgings and cabin rentals to choose from when visiting the High Country area.

Fergusons' Carolina Cabins

Fergusons' Carolina High Country Cabins are located in western North Carolina. It has an elevation of 4500 feet. Activities include whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking and fishing. Two cabins are available which are located on adjacent lots. Seven Devils mountain, where the cabins are located is between the cities of Banner Elk and Boone. Three ski resorts are easily accessible. Amenities include a complete kitchen, fresh linens, TV, cable programming, wireless Internet access, jacuzzi and a large front deck. The Fergusons' are pet-friendly, with some restrictions.

It has eight properties available in different locations with varying amenities such as jacuzzi, hot tub, fireplace, washer/dryer, cable/satellite, river/creek front and dishwasher. Nearby attractions include Grandfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad, Julian Price Memorial Park, Linville Falls and Moses Cone Manor. High Country Inn

This inn has 120 guest rooms and suites available with many amenities to choose from such as hot tub, sauna, Cable TV, jacuzzi in the bedroom, full kitchen and heated tile floor. In addition to the guest rooms, High Country Inn also offers mountain cabins and lodging at the nearby Hummingbird Hill Cabin Village, which is a great choice for guests to enjoy more privacy and the high country mountain scenery.
