Mount Airy Forest
As one of Cincinnati's early reforestation projects, Mt. Airy Forest spans more than 1,450 acres of picturesque hills, valleys, streams, gardens and wildlife. Along with picnic and camping areas, Mt. Airy offers 14 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails through deep ravines along streams and fossil beds millions of years old. Holiday Inn Express, InTown Suites, Travelodge and Marriott all have properties near the park for easy access.

Mitchell Memorial Forest
Mitchell Memorial Forest is a mountain biker's dream, with a 3.9-mile trail that you can hike, as well. River Hill Pond offers catch-and-release fishing for anglers of all skill levels, and a wood duck nature trail for strolling. The park is 1,336 acres of sheer relaxation. No pets are allowed. Hampton Inn, Country Inn, Comfort Suites and the many hotels near the airport will keep you in close proximity of this forest.

Miami Whitewater Forest
Covering 4,022 acres, Miami Whitewater Forest offers outdoor enthusiasts three nature trails, an 85-acre fishing lake and a 7.8-mile loop of the historic American Discovery Trail (the Shaker Trace Trail). An ongoing project in Miami Whitewater Forest is the restoration of 700 acres to its former glory as prairies and wetlands. More than 170 acres have already been restored and are accessible to visitors. Sports and outdoor equipment such as bikes, boats, skates and more are available for rent. Intown Suites, Red Carpet Inn, Comfort Stay and Suites, and Marriott are just some of the nearby places to stay during your visit.
