It is close to biking and fitness trails, tennis and squash courts, and golf courses. Nearby downtown Washington, D.C. provides opportunities for sightseeing, and the National Zoo also is in the vicinity. If you don't want to drive, the Metro can take you where you want to go.

The Marriott Washington Wardman Park is just minutes from downtown Bethesda on Woodley Road. It allows pets with a $50 non-refundable sanitation fee. It also features a seasonal outdoor pool, fitness center and biking trail. Nearby activities include jogging, horseback riding, sailing, squash and golf. There also is much to do and see in downtown Washington, D.C.

The Fairmont Washington D.C.

The Fairmont Washington, D.C. is located close by, next to Georgetown. It permits pets without a deposit. A health club and spa is available for a fee of $25 a day for hotel guests. It offers It's A Dog's World package where 5 percent of your room cost is donated to the Washington Animal Rescue League. Your dog will be given healthy treats that are made by the hotel's chef. You are provided with a map of pet-friendly places in the area and a pet "Do Not Disturb" sign. The Patriot Package includes tickets for the Greyline Trolley, allowing guests to explore the nation's capital at their leisure, and the Family Adventure Package includes a guide of City Walks with Kids.
