Hotels in Lynton, Devon
The tiny village of Lynton in Devon is separated from its sister village, Lynmouth, by a small railway that travels up the steep cliffs to Lynton only 500 feet above. This quaint Victorian village is located in some of the most beautiful countryside in Devon. Moors, cliffs, woods, waterfalls and a view of Lynmouth Harbour below make Lynton truly spectacular. For nature lovers, The Exmoor National Park with its hiking trails, rivers and ancient stone circles is nearby. Lynton itself is full of lovely little shops and cafes, as well as some first-rate hotels.

Lynton Cottage Hotel

Some rooms have balconies, some have wooden beamed ceilings, but all have spectacular views over the Devon coast. The hotel's restaurant is also unusual, as it serves a mix of cuisine based on Thai and Mediterranean food, and cooked with local ingredients where possible. The hotel has a bar, a Georgian lounge and a pretty terrace, perfect for an afternoon drink after a brisk walk along the cliffs. Don't miss the spa treatments the hotel offers, as well.
