Bergen County parks contain more than 15 miles of bicycle and pedestrian trails, and you can play a round of disc golf at Campgaw Mountain Reservation. While you are here, try a breakfast at Frank's Deli or The Aristocrat. In the evening, stop for dinner at Solar do Minho.

Solar do Minho

Solar do Minho is a modern Portuguese restaurant with a lively patio bar, an exciting menu and a contemporary casual atmosphere. Start your meal with the homemade soup of the day ($3.50) or its extraordinary salad bar ($6.95 with an entrée). Enticing entrée options include Garoupa à Tia Rita--Grilled Grouper with Shrimp and Clams in a Seafood Sauce ($19.75) and Rabos de Lagosta Recheados--Lobster Tails stuffed with Crab Meat, Shrimp and Scallops ($39.50). The only vegetarian option on the dinner menu is the salad bar ($12.95 as an entrée). Solar do Minho serves lunch Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Dinner is served Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 10 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m.; and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.

The Aristocrat Restaurant

Perfect for those with an adventurous palate, experience authentic Filipino cuisine at The Aristocrat. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served; menu items run from the mundane to unusual. Common breakfast food like eggs are served alongside garlic fried rice and sweet ground pork sausage (Longsilog $6.50). Unusual dishes include the Crispy Pata--mouth-watering pork knuckles fried to crisp ($8) and a family-style tray of Lechon Kawali--crispy deep fried pork belly served with Lechon sauce ($40, serves up to eight people). Vegetarian options are available. The Aristocrat Restaurant opens Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Frank's Deli and Catering

In the mood for an early breakfast or a fresh sandwich to go? Frank's Deli and Catering is the perfect restaurant. Low prices, big portions and home cooking are on the menu. Try the Corned Beef Sloppy Joe--thinly sliced lean corned beef and Swiss cheese, served triple-decker style on fresh rye topped with Russian dressing and cole slaw for only $5. Frank's Deli and Catering is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It has very few vegetarian options.
