Little Mexican Cafe
Perfect for a late meal, Little Mexico Café has been a New Rochelle destination for authentic Mexican food and margarita's since 1987. It was chosen as a top pick in the Best Authentic Mexican food category in 2004. It invites you to try anything on the menu but recommends the Charro Platter ($13.95), Enchilada Platter ($12.95) and the Tacos al Pastor ($2.50 each). Little Mexican Café is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight. Vegetarian entrees are available but not plentiful.

Mo's New York Grill
Famous New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera is one of the owners of Mo's New York Grill. This New Rochelle restaurant wants diners to know it serves "an outstanding Contemporary American menu with variety, including the Panama Special, a taste of Mo's home land." The sporting atmosphere is casually elegant and you can view its "stunning gallery of photographs featured throughout the restaurant." Start your meal with the Crab Cake ($10) then move on to the Panama Special ($26). It has limited vegetarian options. Mo's New York Grill opens Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
