This is a reasonably priced hotel with easy access to some of the best skiing in the Rocky Mountains in Breckenridge, Keystone/Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. Nearby outdoor activities for the summer include hiking, biking and boating on Lake Dillon.

San Moritz Condominiums in Crested Butte

These pet-friendly condominiums are located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Crested Butte is known for its spectacular skiing in the winter, wildflowers in the summer and unbeatable aspen forests, best viewed in the fall when the leaves are changing. Its accommodations range from two- to four-bedroom condominiums that you can rent on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. San Moritz Condominiums requires a $200 deposit per pet and charges $10 per night per pet, with discounts given for multiple pets and a maximum fee of $50 per stay for one pet. It asks that you tell it that you'll be bringing your pet upon making your reservation and say no puppies.

Holiday Inn Express of Boulder

At the Holiday Inn Express in Boulder, pets are allowed in standard rooms. There is a $25 pet fee per night, not to exceed $50 per stay. Boulder is just 35 miles north of Denver, the capital of Colorado. The city of Boulder is surrounded by a green belt of city trails and open spaces, giving the hiker and biker a wide range of choices. The nearby rocks provide some of the best rock climbing and bouldering in the States, and the city is an easy drive into the Rocky Mountains.

Mountain Lodge at Telluride

The Mountain Lodge of Telluride takes the term "pet friendly" to the extreme. It provides the same amount of luxury for your pet as it does for you with pet beds, bowls and treats for your special companion. Pets cost $50 per night, not to exceed $150 per stay. The lodge is located midway up Telluride Mountain, offering you access to the town and the slopes. The town of Telluride offers unsurpassed skiing in the winter and white-water rafting, biking, fishing, hiking and picnicking in the summer.
