Posada Don Elicio
This is widely regarded as the finest "posada," or inn, in La Colonia Tovar. Visitors can choose from a chalet or a suite; both options come with a separate outdoor terrace so visitors can enjoy the surrounding nature in comfort and privacy. Keep in mind that accommodation is available at Posada Don Elicio only by reservation, so call or write well in advance of your travels to Venezuela. Room rates are 210,000 BS per night for a single room; 280,000 BS per night for a double.

Hotel Selva Negra
The Hotel Selva Negra is situated at the bottom of La Colonia Tovar. This is one of the town's oldest hotels. It is built in the traditional charming Alpine style. While its façade may be historical, its rooms are ultra modern, offering balconies, cable television, VCRs and DVD players, and large comfy beds. A few chalets also are available for rental. What's more, there is a great restaurant on the premises, so you'll never go hungry while staying at Hotel Selva Negra.

Hotel Bergland
Hotel Bergland consists of four private cabins and fifteen rooms. This hotel is famous for its hospitality; staff is always on hand to give sightseeing advice. Each room comes with a balcony, affording awe-inspiring views over La Colonia Tovar. The on-site restaurant offers an array of local and German specialties; the Eisbein is particularly worth sampling, and the wine list isn't bad either. Hotel Bergland is ideal for honeymoons and romantic get-aways; with its attractive cedar floors, romantic atmosphere and spiffy clean rooms, it is an ideal place for younger or older couples. Given the fact that the owners prefer to maintain a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, the Hotel Bergland is not the ideal place for family visits to La Colonia Tovar.
