Cabins and Lodging in the Tennessee Mountains
Tennessee is a state that stretches over 440 miles from east to west. There are six land regions to the state and mountains are located throughout these ranges. The Blue Ridge area on the Eastern side is home to the Great Smoky Mountains, the Appalachian Mountains, Chilhowie Mountains and Snowbird Mountains. The Appalachian or Cumberland Plateau is home to the Cumberland Mountains and Lookout Mountains. Throughout Tennessee there are other mountains and many overlap the regions. These areas provide for many outdoor activities and adventures for visitors. Guest can choose from cabins, hotels, camping and resorts while visiting these areas.

Inn of the Cumberlands

The Inn of the Cumberlands is located near Lake Holiday and the Cumberland Mountains State Park. Offering three floors and 50 rooms, the Inn of the Cumberlands have microwaves and high speed Internet access and daily continental breakfast. All rooms are non-smoking. The inn is close to many outdoor activities at the Cumberland Mountain State Park. The park offers paddleboats, row boats and canoes on Byrd Lake. Fisherin enthusiasts can catch the catfish, bream and bass found at Byrd Lake. There are tent campsites with picnic tables and grills as well as hiking trails around the lake and creek.

Bear Hollow Cabin

Bear Hollow cabin is located in the Hickory Hollow area. It sleeps seven adults and has one king, one futon and one bunk bed. It has two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Outside this cabin has two decks, a porch swing, a hot tub, a gas grill, and access to a catch-and-release fish pond. Bear Hollow cabin is conveniently located near the Smokey Mountain National Park with access to more than 8,000 miles of hiking trails. Bicycling, swimming and fishing throughout the park are also available for visitors' use.

The Resort at Governor's Crossing

The Resort at Governor's Crossing is a luxurious facility with 165 suites and condominiums. The rooms offer fireplaces, kitchens, Jacuzzi tubs and balconies. Guests can use a 250-foot lazy river, over-sized swimming pool and kiddie water play area. The Resort at Governor's Crossing is surrounding by the Great Smoky Mountains. This facility is close to and conveniently located near the Smoky Mountain National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, canoe rentals, fishing and jeep rentals.
