Restaurants in Forestport, New York
Located in Oneida County, Forestport is a small town in central New York State. Although some may recall the area from "The Forestport Conspiracy," a plan hatched in the late 1800s to divert money from the Black River Canal, the town is now best known as the home of Adirondack Park, the largest park and historic landmark in the contiguous United States. At approximately 6 million acres, there is certainly no shortage of outdoor activity to be found. Whether rafting, camping, hiking, cycling or even taking a hot air balloon ride, visitors are bound to be captivated by the natural wonder of the area.

The Buffalo Head Restaurant

Featuring a casual Adirondack atmosphere, the Buffalo Head Restaurant has been serving travellers in the same way for generations. While locals may know the restaurant as an excellent location for holiday celebrations, others flock to it for their prime rib, hand cut steak, seafood, pasta, poultry, and, of course, their homemade biscuits, rolls, and pies. Open seven days a week, bus tours welcome.

With a menu as heavy on steaks, poultry and seafood as it is on pizza and classic pasta dishes, Garramone's is sure to have something for every palate. The house specialties include surf and turf, veal, and shrimp. Open seven days a week.
