Cabins in Maggie's Valley, North Carolina That Are Pet Friendly
Located in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountains of western North Carolina, Maggie Valley is a nature lover's delight offering golf, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, snow skiing, and many hiking trails for enthusiasts. Maggie Valley can be reached by State Highway 19, and is located between Cherokee and Asheville. Several fully furnished cabins in the area are available for rent; some welcome pets too.

Country Cabins

Two miles from the center of Maggie Valley are the five cabin Country Cabins resort. Located on 2.5 natural acres, cabins sleep at least two adults with some units sleeping six to eight people. Each cabin is fully furnished and include twin, double or queen sized beds. Hardwood floors and walls; fireplaces; fully equipped kitchens; indoor plumbing; and rocking chair porches are among the features found in each cabin.

Contact the Country Cabins for current pet policy and fees. Pets are welcome, unattended pets must be confined to crate or pet carrier when left alone in the cabin.

More than one hundred miles of Great Smokey Mountain hiking trails is nearby, offering ascents to some of the highest points on the east coast of the United States. The Native American town of Cherokee is thirty miles west of Maggie Valley.

Misty Mountain Cabins

Officially known as the Misty Mountain Ranch Bed & Breakfast and Maggie Valley Cabin Rentals, the Misty Mountain Cabins is located near Interstate 40 on Highway 19 in Maggie Valley. Modern cabins include fully outfitted kitchens; fireplaces; full wooden interior; separate sleeping areas with full or queen sized beds; living rooms; and porches. Pets are welcome; contact facility for current policy.

Area attractions include numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, skiing, whitewater rafting, fishing, shopping, and Harrah's Casino in Cherokee.

Alamo Motel and Cottages

Located in the center of Maggie Valley, the Alamo Motel and its cabin-like cottages are perfect for large groups as well as for families and solitary travelers. Guest friendly, the Alamo welcomes children, bikers, groups, and pets. Pets weighing up 20 lbs incur a $6/day charge; $12/day for larger animals.

Cottages are custom furnished offering full and queen sized beds. Each cottage features separate sitting, sleeping and eating areas and include full kitchens. Most units feature a porch with rocking chairs or other outdoor furniture.
