Steak Houses in Dayton, Ohio

Probably most famous historically as the location of the birthplace, and workshop of the Wright Brothers, Dayton is still the home to much aerospace innovation, largely due to its proximity to Wright Patterson Air Force base. The fourth largest metro area in Ohio (848,153 as of the 2000 census), Dayton is the home to several minor league sports teams, has many arts opportunities, and is the home of the United States Air Force Museum. In 2008, Dayton was chosen by Site Selection Magazine as the #1 city for expansion, and growth.

The Pine Club

Dayton's favorite, and best known steakhouse, The Pine Club opened its doors in 1947. Classified as "One of the Great Steak Houses in the Country," The Pine Club is open for dinner service seven days a week. As famous for their salad dressing as their generous cuts of meat, they also offer mail order boxes of both through their website. Reservations are not accepted. Located just south of downtown, near the University District.

The Oakwood Club

Located just south of downtown one can find The Oakwood Club nestled in with a strip of specialty boutiques, and eateries. In continuous operation since 1962, the Oakwood Club prides itself on using only the finest ingredients to create their marbled steaks, and seafood. Open for dinner service Monday through Saturday beginning at 4:00 PM. Reservations accepted, but not required. Closed Sundays.

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar

While not a restaurant exclusive to Dayton, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar has really distinguished itself. Open for dinner service seven days a week, Fleming's has received the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator in both 2008 and 2009. Located close to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fleming's serves the steaks, chops, and seafood anyone would expect from a fine steakhouse. Reservations accepted.
