Azalea
Located just one block from historic Independence Hall, Azalea is an ideal brunch spot for travelers who wish to make the most of their visit to Philadelphia. Azalea offers American regional cuisine in an atmosphere that lends itself to special occasions, and larger parties. Brunch is buffet style and available on Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm. Service includes a chef's carving station that offers slow roasted rack of lamb and filet mignon, and a chilled seafood station with Fluer de Sel cured salmon, and lignee of smoked rainbow trout. Other stations offer pastas, cheeses and eggs made to order as well as cakes, mini pastries and crème brulee for dessert. Reservations are recommended, and as of 2009 brunch is $39 per person.

Caribou Café
Just seven blocks west is Caribou Café, a bistro style restaurant that features French cuisine with staples on the daily menu such as cheese soufflé and frog legs. The ambience is informed by its art deco bar area, and an outdoor café is open weather permitting. The Sunday brunch menu offers an extensive selection of French inspired items such as house-made pates, escargot, cheese plates, and a brioche bread pudding. For visitors who prefer seafood, Estia offers Mediterranean ambiance, and traditional Greek cuisine. The space is defined by hardwood and stone floors, vaulted tile ceilings and an open kitchen. Souvlaki plates are available as well as whole grilled fish sold by the pound. Brunch retains a Greek flavor with items such as avga kavouria, which is an open faced omelet prepared with fresh crab meat, asparagus and kasseri cheese. French toast is made with a traditional sweet bread called tsoureki, and avga spanakia is an omelet with spinach, tomato, leeks, and feta.
