Kentucky offers visitors an array of cultural, sightseeing and outdoor experiences throughout the state. Visitors can experience vibrant nightlife, tour art museums or simply soak in the scenic beauty of Kentucky's rural areas. Those who prefer to travel with their pets often have difficulty locating hotels that accept pets. Fortunately, there are a number of hotels throughout the state that allow guests to keep small pets in their rooms.

La Quinta Inn

The La Quinta Inn in Lexington is a short distance from the Lexington Horse Park and offers easy access to attractions such as the Woodford Reserve Distillery, Henry Clay's Ashland Estate and the Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. Rooms include complimentary wireless Internet access, coffee makers, hair dryers, cable television and irons with ironing boards. The La Quinta Inn also has an outdoor pool where you can relax during the warm Kentucky summers. According to the hotel's service staff, guests can keep their pets for no additional charge, and there are no restrictions on the sizes or types. Pets cannot be left in the rooms unattended.

Drury Inn and Suites

The Drury Inn and Suites in Louisville provides an excellent location for exploring the area's many attractions. It is near Churchill Downs, home to the Kentucky Derby. Baseball enthusiasts can also visit the nearby Louisville Slugger Museum, which is home to the largest baseball bat in the world. Travelers with children will appreciate the hotel's proximity to the Louisville Zoo and Six Flags of Kentucky Kingdom. This hotel, located on the east side of Louisville, is just minutes from Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. It is also a short drive from downtown Louisville. The Red Roof Inn offers basic accommodations, and provides complimentary high speed Internet access. Smoking and non-smoking rooms are available, and some rooms come with mini-refrigerators. According to hotel staff, pets of any type or size are welcome, and there is no additional nightly charge.

Best Western

The Best Western is two minutes from the Factory Stores of America, an outlet mall where shoppers can find excellent deals on many types of merchandise. It is also just two miles from the Cincinnati Bengals training camp. An indoor pool and hot tub are available, as is a fitness center. Rooms include microwaves, refrigerators, coffee makers, irons, and ironing boards. Wireless Internet access and cable television channels are also standard. Hotel staff states that pets of any size or type are welcome, but there is a surcharge of $20 per pet per night.
