Disney Orlando Discount Hotels

A trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, can be a dream come true for kids and adults alike. But it can also be expensive. The good news is that there are hotel choices that offer inexpensive room rates and can help you save some money. The Disney property itself has a class of hotels called Value Resorts. These are their least expensive hotels and offer the best regular prices of all of the Disney-owned properties. If you choose to stay off property, there are inexpensive choices there, too.

Disney Value Resorts

Disney's value resorts include All Star Movies, All Star Music, All Star Sports and Pop Century. These resorts have 5,740 rooms and 298 suites. Rates start at $82 per night in 2009. These hotels are located five miles from Magic Kingdom, five miles from Epcot, three miles from Hollywood Studios, one mile from Animal Kingdom, one mile from Blizzard Beach, four miles from Typhoon Lagoon, and four miles from Downtown Disney. Amenities include childcare services, coin laundry, high speed Internet access, a poolside bar and daily maid service. There is a food court, bakery, and convenience store at each hotel. One of the best reasons for staying at a Disney-owned property is that you get free unlimited use of Disney bus transportation to and from all of the Disney parks.

Buena Vista Suites

Located only 1 1/2 miles from Walt Disney World, the Buena Vista Suites are both convenient and a bargain. Starting at $88 per night for a two-room, recently renovated suite, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Each of their 279 suites offers a private bedroom and separate living room with its own large, flat screen TV. There is a full breakfast buffet served daily and a refrigerator and microwave in each suite. The hotel offers free scheduled transportation to and from the four main Walt Disney World theme parks, an evening shuttle to Downtown Disney and free shuttles to shopping areas. Also enjoy the pool, fitness center, basketball and tennis courts and game room.

Celebrity Resorts

This hotel starts at $105 per night and offers 60 mini-suites and one- and three-bedroom villas that can accommodate up to 10 people. It is located less than 1 mile from the Walt Disney World theme parks and other popular Orlando activities. Amenities include cable TV and a DVD player, tennis and basketball courts, an outdoor pool and whirlpool, a playground and full kitchens in the villas.
