Sydney, the bustling cosmopolitan city that sits on the waterfront of New South Wales, is home to the majority of the 48 Accor hotel properties that can be found in the state. Accommodations range from the motel chain Formule1 with prices well below US $100 to the luxury brand Sofitel with room nights starting at $250 and up.
Victoria is home to Melbourne, another sophisticated city, and there are 31 Accor properties located within the state with a similar range of economy motel brands at inexpensive rates to the more exclusive hotel and convention properties.
Queensland, perhaps the Australian state best known as the "jumping off point" for the Great Barrier Reef, has 29 Accor hotel properties within its borders with many of them centered around Brisbane.
South Australia, Tasmania, Western Australia
South Australia, home to one of Australia's best-producing wine regions, the Barossa Valley, and to the city of Adelaide, hosts seven Accor properties with nightly room rates ranging from less than US$80 to US $185.
Tasmania, affectionately known as "Tassie" to locals, is an island with two primary cities located on either end, Hobart and Launceston. With the exception of the Cradle Mountain Lodge, located in Cradle Mountain National Park, all four of Accor's properties are located in the two cities.
Western Australia, home to Perth and Broome, has 18 Accor properties there, from inexpensive Formule1 motel accommodations to the higher-end brands within the Accor group.
Northern Territory and Australia Capital Territory
The Australian Capital Territory is located within New South Wales but has its own standing within Australia government and also has its own three Accor hotels, all located in the capital city of Canberra
The Northern Territory has three Accor properties located within it, including the capital city of Darwin and in Alice Springs, a famous mining town.
