As such, one would expect to find some really delectable steakhouses in Nebraska, which is in the heart of the region. They would not be disappointed. A multitude of eateries in Nebraska serve up steaks that will make locals glow with pride and visitors consider relocating.

The Steak House

The Steak House takes its meat seriously. The restaurant allows customers to personally select their cut of meat from a display case before each steak is grilled to perfection on a charcoal grills. The Steak House has been serving steaks in Lincoln since 1949 so they've had plenty of time to get the art of charcoal grilling right. Reservations are not accepted, so be sure to show up early and hungry.

Misty's

The Original Misty's Restaurant and Lounge has been meeting the needs of its customers since 1964. The restaurant's steaks are complemented by Misty's own line of seasonings, which are available for purchase. Misty's prime rib is a Lincoln favorite and comes highly recommended by locals and fortunate visitors alike. The restaurant recently added a buffalo ribeye steak to its menu for those who want to expand their culinary experience beyond the traditional beef-derived steaks. In 2003, a second Misty's restaurant was created that offers a microbrewery in addition to all of the Misty's originals.

Sullivan's Steakhouse

Sullivan's Steakhouse offers a Chicago-style restaurant in Omaha. Live jazz music accompanies dinners, and the restaurant claims "unparalleled martinis." Sullivan's offers more than a finely crafted steak; it also provides an evening's entertainment. Be forewarned, however: Sullivan's is not unique to Nebraska. It has many locations across the country.

Anthony's Steakhouse

Anthony's black angus steaks are aged on the premises to ensure quality. And quality steak is what each customer receives. Tony Fucinaro opened the restaurant in 1967, and the establishment has grown in size and reputation ever since. Anthony's offers a whiskey ribeye, which is a steak marinated in bourbon before facing the grill. The crabbed-stuffed portabella mushroom is an excellent precursor to any meal.
