Black Water Falls State Park

Black Water Falls State Park near Charleston offers three pet-friendly cabins. Cabin amenities include fireplaces, bathrooms with showers and heat. The state park offers hiking trails, playground, water sports, fishing and swimming on Pendleton Lake, and cross-country skiing. Pets on leashes are permitted in the state park. Exploration of natural waterfalls and rock climbing, are available when weather permits.

Kanawha State Forest

The Berkeley Springs Cottage and Cabin Rentals offers one- to five-bedroom cabins. This lodging facility features more than 50 pet-friendly cabins. Lodging amenities include Cacapon River access, hot tubs, game rooms, barbecue grill, cable or satellite television, decks or porches on each cabin, wood-burning stoves, telephone, handicapped accessibility, air conditioning sauna and stereos and DVD players. Also at this lodging complex are both indoor and outdoor swimming pool and a fitness room. Outdoor attractions nearby include Sleepy Creek Wildlife and Lake Management area, Cacapon State Park, Cacapon Mountains, Paw Paw Tunnel, and the C&O Canal. As of November 2009, a pet fee of $25 per day was charged for guests traveling with dogs.
